The Deputy Chiefs of the Henrietta Fire District are also volunteer positions and are responsible for the firematic operation of the fire department in the absence of the Chief.  The areas of fire prevention, equipment, and training are split between the two Deputy Chiefs.  The Deputy Chiefs, report directly to the Chief.  In some cases, special projects are delegated to the Deputy Chiefs by the Board of Fire Commissioners, and this results in their reporting directly to them.

The Deputy Chief's position entails administrative duties as well as firematic responsibilities.  Specific responses for the Deputy Chiefs include but are not limited to;  Automatic fire alarms, building collapse, large commercial assignments, and other incidents in the absence of the Chief.

The chart below illustrates the number of times each Deputy Chief has been dispatched, the number of times each has not responded, and the fuel usage for the year.
