The Chief of the Henrietta Fire District is a volunteer position and is ultimately responsible for the firematic operation of the fire department.  The Chief, though the highest operational officer of the District, does report directly to the Board of Fire Commissioners.  The Commissioners of the District are in the process of converting this position from a volunteer position to a full time career position.  This was done by the passage of a resolution, and was reached after a lengthy public hearing on the subject.

The Chief's position, though mainly administrative, does require him to respond to specific emergency calls.  These calls include but are not limited to;  working fires, hazardous materials incidents, or other major incidents.

The chart below illustrates the number of times the Chief has been dispatched, the number of times he has not responded, and the fuel usage for the year.
